No one was hurt when a fire broke out at Hinze's Bar-B-Q in Wharton on Monday night, according to the Wharton County Constable's Office Precinct 2 Facebook page.
The office, which wrote the fire was contained, also posted photographs and videos of the blaze at the barbecue restaurant, 8229 U.S. Highway 59, about 8:30 p.m.
Taylor Barnett, who works at Subway nearby, said he still saw smoke about 8:45 p.m.
Hinze's Bar-B-Q opened about 37 years ago. W.C. and Rosemary Hinze, who used to own a Dairy Freeze in Wharton, started the restaurant, and their children worked there, too, according to the business's website.
Police and fire departments could not be reached for comment Monday night.
