Summer Cinema: Dinner and a movie
Aug. 6, 2014 at 12:27 p.m.
Without an Alamo Drafthouse nearby, the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts and The Sendera have partnered to create a Crossroads version of cinema dining.
The Welder Center's Summer Cinema kicked off July 17 with a singalong of Disney's "Frozen."
And at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the classic film experience continues with Peter Yates' 1979 film "Breaking Away."
Box dinners provided by The Sendera, including Italian sandwiches, kettle chips and a dessert, are available for purchase at the Welder Center Box Office or online through Vendini.com.
Movie screenings will continue through the month of August and include an upcoming screening of "Godzilla: The Japanese Original" shown as a double feature with the 2014 "Godzilla."
A complete schedule of summer cinema can be found at WelderCenter.org. Ticket prices vary, with some film screenings offering free admission.
