Wrecked

VICTORIA - One woman was injured Thursday in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 59 South near Loop 463. She was taken to her family doctor to be examined. The driver of the second vehicle was issued a ticket for failure to yield to oncoming traffic. Department of Public Safety Trooper Stephen Gray investigated the wreck.

Arrested

VICTORIA - Joel Bradley Cook, 36, of Victoria, by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday on a warrant charging him with violation of probation in an assault causing bodily injury family violence by impeding breath case.

VICTORIA - Raquel Rodriguez Martinez, 44, of Victoria, by deputies Wednesday on a warrant charging her with violation of probation in a theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000 case.

VICTORIA - Sydney Means, 18, of Victoria, by officers Wednesday on a warrant charging her with theft of property between $500 and $1,500.

VICTORIA - Jared Ian Mendez, 24, of Victoria, by deputies Wednesday on a warrant charging him with violation of probation in a theft of property between $50 and $500 case.

VICTORIA - Melissa Carol Nave, 36, of Victoria, by deputies Wednesday on a warrant charging her with selling alcohol to minors.

VICTORIA - A 45-year-old Victoria woman by officers Wednesday on suspicion of possession of marijuana and a Class C misdemeanor.

Burglarized

VICTORIA - A home in the 600 block of Fillmore Avenue on Monday. Cash totaling $520 was reported missing.

VICTORIA - A home with intended other felony in the 2000 block of East Guadalupe Street on Saturday. Cash totaling $505 and a Texas identification card valued at $26 were reported missing.

VICTORIA - A vehicle in the 2000 block of Lawndale Avenue on Thursday. A wallet, contents and fishing lures valued at $185 were reported missing.

VICTORIA - A vehicle in the 200 block of East Rio Grande Street on Friday. Fishing poles, paperwork and a clipboard valued at $119 were reported missing.

VICTORIA - A vehicle in the 2400 block of Mimosa Avenue on Sunday. A purse and contents valued at $725 were reported missing.

VICTORIA - A home in the 2700 block of Leary Lane on Friday. Nothing was reported stolen. Damage to the front door was estimated at $150.

VICTORIA - A rental storage facility in the 2500 block of Rendon Road on Friday. A stove, washer and dryer set, a wooden table and six chairs and a speaker set valued at $3,240 were reported missing.

VICTORIA - A vehicle in the 300 block of East Red River Street on Thursday. Seventy dollars were reported missing, and $1,100 in damage to the vehicle was estimated.

Sentenced

VICTORIA - David Rea, 28, of Fannin, to 15 years in prison after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams.

VICTORIA - Daniel Denton, 23, of Austwell, to 10 years probation and 200 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to online solicitation of a minor, sex conduct.

VICTORIA - Joseph Anthony Pena, 36, of Victoria, to 10 months in state jail after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to theft of stolen property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions.

VICTORIA - Frederick Alexander Jones, 33, of Victoria, to 10 years probation and 200 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to tampering or fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair.

VICTORIA - Ronald Eric Speight Jr., 27, of Bloomington, sanctioned to a treatment facility after his sentence was amended Tuesday in a February 2012 driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, case.

VICTORIA - Melissa Ann Gamez, 36, of Cuero, to 12 months in state jail after she pleaded guilty to theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions.

VICTORIA - Willie Sidney Whitby Jr., 46, of Victoria, to five years probation and 120 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Wednesday to theft of a firearm.
