A vacant mobile home in Seadrift caught fire Monday morning.
No one was hurt, but the home is considered a total loss, said Calhoun County Sheriff George Aleman.
Dispatchers received a call about a possible fire on Carabajal Road in between Seadrift and Port O'Connor at 5:30 a.m., he said.
They pinpointed the location, and firefighters from Seadrift, Port O'Connor and Port Lavaca responded.
The owner, who had not been there in a few days, told dispatchers that he might have left an appliance on, so it is suspected to be an electrical fire, Aleman said.
