A 71-year-old Victoria man found dead early Monday on a Zac Lentz Parkway feeder road was ruled a suicide.

About 7 a.m., a passer-by on U.S. 77 near Main Street saw what appeared to be an abandoned white truck on the dead end of a Zac Lentz feeder road, said Victoria County Sheriff T. Michael O'Connor.

As the passerby arrived on the scene, he found Wallace King, of Victoria, dead next to the truck. King suffered a single gunshot wound.

Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Ted G. Seel ruled the death a suicide Monday morning. An autopsy was not ordered.
