A lone gunman robbed the Sonic Drive-In at 3603 N. John Stockbauer Drive late Friday night, said Sgt. Adam Rodriguez of the Victoria Police Department.

No one was injured.

The man arrived on foot and carried a handgun. He wore dark clothing and boots and masked his face with a bandana.

The gunman gathered the employees in one area and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Victoria Police Department received the call at 12:05 a.m. Saturday, but officers were unable to find the suspect. The case is under investigation.

Similar crimes have not been reported recently in Victoria, Rodriguez said.

Employees and the owner of the restaurant declined to comment Saturday night.
