Thank you to commissioner for helping parade
Editor, the Advocate:
Concerning Barricade-Gate: Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m., I saw Commissioner Gary Burns in Ramsey's eating breakfast. I said hello and then asked why he was out so early. He said he was meeting Warrior's Weekend for the Korean War veterans parade to loan them the traffic barricades. I was on my way to work the parade and said goodbye.
One hour later, Commissioner Burns pulled up in his truck and trailer, setting up barricades along the parade route. The parade was a great success. Then, Commissioner Burns picked up the barricades after the parade.
What other county in the United States has a county commissioner installing barricades for a parade? Thank God for Gary Burns; thank God for Victoria.
