Van Vleck High School took part in the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women campaign this week.
Throughout the week, the students learned about heart health, including the signs of heart attack and stroke and the importance of not smoking, Debbie Mosier, Van Vleck High School family and consumer science teacher, wrote in a news release.
Students and faculty wore red in support of this health awareness campaign Friday.
Teachers Mary Ottis, Debbie Mosier and Gena Smith were honored for their personal efforts to be heart healthy.
