Editor, the Advocate:

Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation go out to each of you who participated in and supported Union Missionary Baptist Church's unveiling and dedication of the official State of Texas Historical Marker on Jan. 18.

We send our gratitude to the family of Ceola Wesley Williams for their presence and support. Special recognition goes to our public officials and local and area businesses who donated goods and services: David Bowman, Goliad County judge; Kirby Brumby, Goliad County sheriff; Patsy Light and William "Bill" Montague, Goliad County Historical Commission historians; Joyce Snell, pianist; Beall's Department Store; Devereux Gardens; New Distributing; Subway, Goliad store; and Whataburger.

Anthony I. Franklin, Union Missionary Baptist Church pastor, Goliad
