Had 76 cows and nine bulls. The packer market was higher by another $2 over last week's higher prices. Numbers are down and demand strong. Protein prices are high further helping all forms of meat.

The calf market was again very solid with some adjustments from last week's record-high market. As a result, some of the highs were not as high as last week, but the overall market was sound and active. Short supply due to the weather.

Packer bulls: heavyweights, $92-$113; lower grades, $80-$94.

Packer cows: breakers, $65-$80; boning cows, $65-$88; canners and cutters, $82-$104; light and weak, $38-$53.
