Victoria College offers motorcycle course for beginners, experienced riders

Helmets and motorcycles will be provided for students taking the course.

Nine registration dates remain this semester for Victoria College's motorcycle safety course.

VC's Motorcycle Basic Rider Course is designed with the beginner in mind, but experienced riders can also benefit from this course.

Successful completion of the course should waive the driving portion of the Texas Department of Public Safety exam. Graduates of this course will still be required to take a written and vision exam at the DPS office.

Upcoming classes for the spring semester are: Feb. 21-23, register by Feb. 19; March 7-9, register by March 5; March 21-23, register by March 19; April 4-6, register by April 2; April 25-27, register by April 23; May 9-11, register by May 7; May 23-25, register by May 21; June 6-8, register by June 4; and June 20-22, register by June 18.

The three-day course is held from 6-10 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.

Tuition for the course is $235, which provides 17 hours of training.
