Emergency landing

VICTORIA - A single-engine plane made an emergency stop at the Victoria Regional Airport about 4 p.m. Friday. The pilot called ground control because the low fuel light came on, and the pilot was afraid to land without power, said Victoria County Fire Marshal Ron Pray. The man, whose name was not available, was uninjured in the landing. He refueled and took off to Laredo, Pray added.

Arrested

VICTORIA - A 19-year-old Victoria man by officers Thursday on suspicion of possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone.

VICTORIA - A 43-year-old Victoria man by officers Thursday on suspicion of driving with an invalid license with previous convictions.

VICTORIA - A 36-year-old Victoria man by officers Thursday on suspicion of possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance.

VICTORIA - Amy Lynn Hudson, 46, of Victoria, by officers Thursday on a warrant charging her with violation of probation in a possession of a controlled substance case.

VICTORIA - A 35-year-old Port Lavaca woman by troopers Thursday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

VICTORIA - Rachel Miller, 36, of Victoria, by officers Thursday on a warrant charging her with theft of property by check between $20 and $500.

VICTORIA - A 37-year-old Victoria man by officers Thursday on suspicion of two Class C misdemeanors; resisting arrest, search or transport; tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair and manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance.

VICTORIA - Samuel Rios III, 18, of Victoria, by troopers Thursday on a warrant charging him with delivery of marijuana between 1/4 ounce and 5 pounds.

VICTORIA - Leroy Vela, 57, of San Antonio, by deputies Thursday on a warrant charging him with violation of probation in a possession of marijuana case.

VICTORIA - A 30-year-old Victoria man by officers Thursday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

VICTORIA - A 23-year-old Lolita man by troopers Friday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated with two or more previous convictions.

VICTORIA - A 17-year-old Victoria man by officers Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

VICTORIA - Joel Anthony Limon, 22, of Victoria, by deputies Friday on a warrant charging him with operating a vehicle in a protected water area.

VICTORIA - A 31-year-old Victoria woman by officers Friday on suspicion of assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

VICTORIA - Desiree Jacklyn Rodriquez, 19, of Victoria, by officers Friday on a warrant charging her with violation of probation in an unauthorized use of a vehicle case and on suspicion of failure to identify a fugitive with intent to give false information and possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds in a drug-free zone.

VICTORIA - A 23-year-old Victoria man by officers Friday on suspicion of possession of marijuana more than or equal to 2 ounces in a drug-free zone.

Abused

VICTORIA - Ducks and geese at the Riverside Park Duck Pond in the 300 block of McCright Drive on Tuesday were baited and ran over, causing five animals to be killed or put down by animal control.

Assaulted

VICTORIA - An 80-year-old Victoria man was pushed by an employee of an assisted living facility in the 4400 block of North John Stockbauer Drive on Tuesday.

Burglarized

VICTORIA - A home in the 100 block of Avenue D on Monday. Nothing was reported missing.

VICTORIA - A vehicle in the 1800 block of Goldman Street on Tuesday. Dita sunglasses and other accessories, cash and personal property valued at $1,461 were reported missing.

Stolen

VICTORIA - A gold ring and miscellaneous items valued at $2,880 from a home in the 3800 block of Willie Street on Feb. 8.

VICTORIA - A 1998 Ford Ranger valued at $7,000 from the 100 block of Regency Avenue on Tuesday.

VICTORIA - Merchandise valued at $87.99 from a specialty store in the 8200 block of North Navarro Street on Tuesday.

VICTORIA - Clothing valued at $79 from a department store in the 7800 block of North Navarro Street on Wednesday.

Damaged

VICTORIA - Five front windows of a home in the 200 block of Ekstrum Street on Wednesday. Damage was estimated at $250.

Sentenced

VICTORIA - Lee Roy Buckner, 61, of Victoria, to six months probation and 300 hours of community service after he was continued on probation Feb. 4 on an August 2009 aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case.

VICTORIA - Christy Dann Phillips, 22, of Victoria, to one year in county jail after she pleaded guilty Feb. 5 to possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams.

VICTORIA - Genaro Uribe-Medel, 25, of Pasadena, to 10 years probation and 200 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Feb. 5 to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance greater than or about 400 grams.

VICTORIA - Brian Lee Lovings, 24, of Victoria, to five years probation and 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to assault, bodily injury of a family or household member, twice within the past two months.

VICTORIA - Manuel Correa, 25, of Victoria, to five years probation and 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

VICTORIA - Doralinda Ayala, 33, of Victoria, to five years probation and 80 hours of community service after she pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to hindering the apprehension or prosecution of a known felon.

VICTORIA - John Clayton Newman, 32, of Victoria, to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty Feb. 5 to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

VICTORIA - Francisco Javier Castro, 31, of Bloomington, to 10 years in prison after his sentence was amended Feb. 5 for an August 2004 manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams case.

VICTORIA - Eli Sanchez, 45, of Victoria, to two years in state jail after his sentence was amended Feb. 5 for a May 2012 theft of a wire or cable made up of 50 percent of aluminum, bronze or copper valued at less than $20,000 case.

VICTORIA - Jerry Cordova Jr., 28, of Victoria, to two years probation after he pleaded guilty Feb. 6 to possession of a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams.

Indicted

VICTORIA - A grand jury returned indictments on the following people Feb. 6:

Michael Andrew Cowan, 59, of Aransas Pass, on charge of online solicitation of a minor sex conduct. He is charged with soliciting a detective who was posing as a minor for sexual contact over the Internet on Nov. 20.

John Michael Campos, 49, of Victoria, on a charge of sex offender's duty to register for life or annually. He is charged with residing in the county for more than seven days without registering with the Victoria Police Department on Aug. 1.

Robert Benny Pena, 35, of Victoria, on a charge of sex offender's duty to register for life or annually. He is charged with residing in the county for more than seven days without registering with the Victoria Police Department on May 1.

Brenda Castillo, 33, of Victoria, on two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams, heroin, and on one count of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, methadone. She is also charged with possessing with the intent to deliver less than 1 gram of cocaine.

Jarrod Wayne Jamail, 21, of Weimar, on a charge of credit card abuse. He is charged with using a company's credit card Sept. 20, 2012.

Bobby Lee Hannon Jr., 43, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, cocaine.

David Barrientos, 43, of Victoria, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, June 16.

Jeff Randolph Trotman, 46, of Victoria, on a charge of driving while intoxicated third or more offense April 28.

Darrell Floyd Vowell, 45, of Victoria, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, April 5.

Justin Wesley Mitchell, 44, of Victoria, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, Aug. 15.

Alejandro Bernal III, 28, of Victoria, on a charge of assault of a family or household member by impeding his or her breath or circulation. He is charged with applying pressure to the throat or neck of a woman he was dating Nov. 9.

Mark John Martinez, 34, of Victoria, on a charge of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle Dec. 16.

Percy O'Neal Frazier Jr., 54, of Victoria, on a charge of theft less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions. He is charged with stealing a cooler valued at less than $1,500 Oct. 20.
