Girl Scout cookie sales extended

People who have missed out on buying Girl Scout cookies will have more time this year to purchase them.

Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas is extending the sale of Girl Scout cookies in Victoria, Corpus Christi, Harlingen, Laredo and McAllen to March 9.

The sales were set to end Feb. 23.

Because of the extreme weather conditions, which were at times freezing, it has been difficult for girls in South Texas to set up cookie booths to sell the cookies, according to a news release from the Girl Scouts

To find out where the cookie booths will be set up, download the cookie finder app, available from app stores online.

Cookie flavors available are Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel deLites, Lemonades, Shortbreads, Thanks A Lots, Peanut Butter Sandwiches and the newest flavor Cranberry Citrus Crisp.

Cookies are $4 per box.
