A Beeville woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle wreck in the 4900 block of U.S. Highway 59 South on Friday afternoon.

Eva Trejo, 65, of Beeville, was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro after her Toyota Yaris collided with the back of a lowboy flatbed trailer towed by Raymond Lowe, 48, of Victoria.

Department of Public Safety Trooper James Vinson said Lowe was ticketed for turning right from the wrong lane.

The wreck occurred about 1 p.m.

Lowe said he made a "wide turn."

Vinson pointed to two sets of tire marks on the highway that showed Trejo slamming on her breaks and Lowe turning right from the inside lane.

"She didn't know he was turning," Vinson said. "You can't turn right from the left lane."
