Wreck injures 4

A Victoria firefighter cleans up an accident on Ben Jordan Street and Port Lavaca Highway. Two adults and two children were transported to Citizens Medical Center after a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection. Ricardo Garza was traveling east on the highway in his red 2001 Dodge Ram and was trying to turn left onto Ben Jordan Street. He failed to yield  the right of way, police said. He collided with a brown 1995 Cadillac traveling west in the 2500 block of the highway.  Broderick Barnes, 22, of Victoria, the driver of the Cadillac, will receive a citation because the children in the vehicle were not restrained in child safety devices, police said. Barnes and Adrianna Guerrero and two children, ages 5 and 6, passengers in the Cadillac, were transported to the hospital. To see video of the scene, go to VictoriaAdvocate.com.
