Twenty-six flat-screen TVs were stolen from Victoria Hotel on Friday afternoon.

Officers met with the construction superintendent at 5401 Houston Highway at about 4:20 p.m.

Two 32-inch LG flat-screen TVs valued at $600 and 24 42-inch LG flat screen TVs valued at $9,600 were reported missing.

"Basically, they were storing all the TVs they were going to put in the rooms in one room. They were still in their original boxes," Lt. Jason Cross of the Victoria Police Department said Monday.

It is unclear now whether an employee stole the TVs. Cross also did not know if a mounted camera could have caught an image of the suspect.

"There were no signs of forced entry. ... In a construction area, there's just so much access to it," Cross said.
