UHV scored two runs in the fifth inning on a pair of ill-aimed pitches by Huston-Tillotson's Alec Larez to break a 3-3 tie and give the Jaguars their sixth victory of the season.

After reaching base on a misplayed grounder, Joshua Boothe stole second and advanced to third on a different wild pitch before scoring on another wild pitch. Brandon Bohanon scored on the next at-bat on a passed ball to give UHV a 5-3 lead.

Nathan Falkenstine (3-1) earned the win for the Jaguars (6-10), working five innings and allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Andre Del Bosque got his third save of the season in two innings of work. Del Bosque didn't allow any baserunners and struck out a pair of batters.

UHV centerfielder Stephen Shorkey led the Jaguars at the plate, going 2 for 3 with an RBI. Bohanon had the lone other RBI.

UHV scored runs in each of the first three innings Tuesday, all but one coming off a wild-pitch by Huston-Tillotson starter Steve Cantu.

The second game of UHV's Tuesday double header against St. Mary's was postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
