Garage sale enthusiasts and supporters of worthy causes alike will have reason to go shopping this weekend.
The Junior League of Victoria kicks off its annual Spring Sweep rummage sale - the league's largest community fundraising event - benefiting four Crossroads organizations.
On Friday and Saturday, the National Guard Armory, 106 E. Mockingbird Lane, will open its doors to the league from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m, when thousands of pieces of donated merchandise - including household and other items - will be on display and up for sale.
Proceeds from the event will be distributed to Project Esperanza, Blessings in a Backpack, Devereaux Birthday Parties and the Community Assistance Fund, which supports economically and socially disadvantaged residents in South Texas.
All donations to the event are tax deductible, and the league invites area residents to Spring Sweep to buy as many items as possible - for a good cause.
