Editor, the Advocate:

Leslie Ann Werner is extremely qualified to hold the position of judge of Victoria County Court-at-Law No. 1. She has been licensed for 27 years and has held a board certification in appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for 22 years. She has handled the very types of cases that will come before this court - not only criminal cases, but civil cases, the probate of wills and litigation involving estates and appeals from the justice of the peace courts.

Leslie has not only the knowledge and experience necessary to hold this position, she also has the temperament necessary to listen to both sides and render a fair and just decision.

Just as important as her legal qualifications, Leslie has been an active and giving resident of Victoria County. She is past-president and current board member of the Northside Rotary Club, she was formerly on the board of directors for the Golden Crescent Food Bank, and she volunteers for the Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption Center. She is a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church.

The County Court at Law No. 1 needs the perspective and diversity that Leslie offers. We encourage voters of Victoria County to vote for Leslie Ann Werner.

Jim and Sheri Hoffman, Victoria
