Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice
Thumbs-up for the memorable article "The Presence of Angels" by Elena Watts in the Advocate on Feb. 16. This is a message to keep within our hearts.
Thumbs-up to the hostesses and manager at Red Lobster on Valentine's night. We watched during our hour-plus wait as the manager kept his cool and was polite while some impatient and rude guests chewed him out because it was only a few minutes past their estimated wait. Our server, Cassie, was very nice and showed us personal attention during our meal, even taking a couple of minutes to chat when we inquired about Vicki, who we hope will be back soon.
Thumbs-up to the Museum of the Coastal Bend on its 10th anniversary, and a big pat on the back to every single solitary contributor. The museum is a treasure trove of local history and has become recognized for this across the entire state of Texas. Congratulations!
Thumbs-down to Steve-a-Reno's closing. We have had some really good times with all the fun people and great music at Steve-a-Reno's. Thanks to Steve for having a place everyone could enjoy. Hope he finds a place to re-locate soon!
