Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society meets

Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society donated funds and various needed items to Perpetual Help Home. Shown at the presentation, from left, are Connie Novak, secretary; Leona Sedlar, treasurer; Josie Marbach, president; Janet Jones, Perpetual Help Home; and Wendy Eggert, vice president.

Our Lady of Lourdes had its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the church hall.

Guests were the Rev. John Kollannur, parochial vicar, and Emily Yeary, parish secretary.

Janet Jones with Perpetual Help Home attended the meeting and updated everyone on activities and advancements of Perpetual Help Home since it started in 1995. A monetary donation and various needed items were given to the home.

Perfect attendance gifts were handed out by Vice President Wendy Eggert to Lillian Berger, Dorothy Boehm, Linn Boehm, Pat Gisler, Helen John, JoAnn Lau, Josie Marbach, Connie Novak, Dorris Raska and Esterleen Spann.

Door prizes were won by Sherron Baker, Bernice Drost, Wendy Eggert, Pat Gisler, Diane Heller, JoAnn Lau, Donna Maxey, Catherine Palmer, Claudia Schoener, Leona Sedlar, Debbie Sullivan, Donna Valenta, Emily Yeary and the Rev. Kollannur.

The Rev. Celestino Say was given a friendship quilt in honor of 55 years of being an ordained priest. The material for the quilt was donated by Maxey, and it was designed and quilted by Raska. All present at the meeting signed the quilt.

A Chinese Christmas gift exchange was held after the meal.

A family breakfast was held after 7:30 a.m. Dec. 29 Mass.

The next meeting will be Jan. 24.
