Motor vehicles are required to have working parking brakes.
Why this specific code and how does it relate to driving in Victoria?
I went to get my Jeep inspected the other day, and guess what? It wouldn't pass.
The parking brake would not hold. Well, after a little adjusting, it worked, and the Jeep passed.
The mechanic told me that numerous vehicles do not pass inspection because of the parking brake.
So, before you take your vehicle to get it inspected, make sure the parking brake is functional. It is a safety device that is necessary.
