Crossroads residents looking for locally-grown produce will soon be in luck.

Starting this week, the Victoria County Farmers Market will open Wednesdays and Saturdays, said Veronica Riehs, president of the Victoria County Farmers Market Association.

Previously, the market was only open Saturdays.

Riehs said the change comes because the winter produce - broccoli, greens, cabbage, cauliflower and other similar foods - are in.

The market sits in the parking lot of the Dr. Pattie Dodson Public Health Center, 2805 N. Navarro St., and hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For more information, call Riehs at 361-550-8377.
