A recreational vehicle was heavily damaged during a fire late Sunday night.

The Victoria Fire Department responded to the fire in the 900 block of Farm-to-Market Road 236 about 11:30 p.m.

"The fire was out on arrival," said Battalion Chief Roger Hempel. "The inside of the structure was a total loss."

The two occupants of the 28-foot RV escaped injury, Hempel said.

The Victoria County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
