Rosenberg man, 35, dies in two-vehicle wreck

A 35-year-old Rosenberg man died Wednesday morning after colliding with another vehicle on Farm-to-Market Road 2678, about 6 miles southeast of Refugio County.
Blair Payne was southbound on Farm-to-Market Road 2678, about 6 miles southeast of Refugio County, when his 2004 Chevrolet Blazer was struck by a northbound Ford F-350. The driver of the F-350 fell asleep and drifted into the southbound lane of traffic, according to a crash report by Department of Public Safety Trooper Robert Brown.
Payne was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Emi Pullin Riemenschneider.
Tyler Graham, 23, of Victoria, the driver of the Ford F-350, was northbound. Graham fell asleep, drifting into the southbound lanes, according to the DPS report. He was transported to Refugio Memorial Hospital and later released, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation with possible charges pending.
