America needs to turn back to following God
Editor, the Advocate:
God gave us 10 commandments. If we would follow them, the world would be a much better place. God did not say "pick the ones you like, and I will change the rest." Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
God gave us free will to follow Him. So, whether you realize it or not, if you are not following God, you are following the devil. Ignorance is not a get-out-of-Hell-free card. Read the Bible, go to church and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. See: Hebrews 13:7, John 3:16-17 and Romans 10:9-10.
When you support adultery, abortion, same-sex marriage, racism, etc., then you are not following God. Don't criticize me for believing the Bible is God's word and that His word is truth. I love all people, whether or not they are following God, and I pray for them to receive Christ as their Savior.
Women do have rights: We have the right not to get pregnant, but we do not have the right to kill. People support abortion but fight to save every animal, bird, bug or parasite. I love all God's creations, but human life is more sacred than anything else.
If a drunken driver hits and kills a woman and her unborn child, he is charged with two murders. When an abortionist partially delivers a baby, shoves scissors into its head and sucks out the brains, he is applauded for women's rights. Both are murderers.
Christian businesses are being fined and forced out of business for refusing service to people who violate their beliefs. What ever happened to the right to refuse service to anyone?
Because of Madeline Murray O'Hare, prayer was removed from schools. This has led to violence running rampant in schools.
Why do we as Christians sit back and allow these things to happen? There is a group in Oklahoma City that has drawn up plans to have a statue to Satan erected. What's next?
Please pray with me for our nation to return to its Christian values.
God bless America!
