Local A&M students honored

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M University has named its honor students for the fall semester, recognizing them for outstanding academic performance.

The Dean's Honor Roll recognizes students taking at least 15 semester hours during the fall semester who have maintained a 3.75 or higher grade point average out of a possible 4.0.

A second designation, "Distinguished Student," recognizes those who earned a 3.5 to 3.74 GPA while taking at least 15 hours for the fall semester.

Among those recognized were: Logan T. Curtis, of Victoria, Bachelor of Science in kinesiology, dean's honor roll; Chance W. Dukes, of Cuero, Bachelor of Science in agriculture leadership and development, distinguished; Stephanie K. Gabrysch, of Edna, Bachelor of Science in health, distinguished; Carlos G. Garcia, of Inez, Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, distinguished; Brittney R. Gumm, of Refugio, Bachelor of Science in health, dean's honor roll; Jon C. Heibel, of Victoria, Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering, dean's honor roll; Bethany A. Hickner, of Victoria, bachelor's degree in unspecified business administration, dean's honor roll; Blaire M. Jemelka, of Cuero, Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies, dean's honor roll; Lorrin E. Kuntz, of Inez, Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences, dean's honor roll; Michael C. Li, of Port Lavaca, Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering, dean's honor roll; Elyse A. Mahaffey, of Edna, Bachelor of Science in kinesiology (lower), distinguished; Mary K. Rather, of Victoria, Bachelor of Science in agricultural science, dean's honor roll; Payton L. Ritchey, of Victoria, Bachelor of Arts in English, dean's honor roll; Courtney L. Schulze, of Edna, bachelor's degree in business administration - accounting, dean's honor roll; Emily A. Sestak, of Victoria, Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, dean's honor roll; Chase A.
