Volunteers are needed to assist with the Point In Time homeless count and Day of Care on Thursday.

Volunteers will assist in surveying the community to determine the needs of those people identified as homeless or on the verge of homelessness and assist them with immediate concerns.

For the Day of Care portion, the group needs shower attendants, survey helpers and cleanup crew, said Kim Pickens, president of the Victoria Area Homeless Coalition.

Interested persons may sign up through volunteersignup.org, contact the Victoria Area Homeless Coalition through its Facebook page, email endpovertyvahc@gmail.com or call 361-218-6401.
