Name: David "Brother" Frankson

Age: 60

City/county of residence: Palacios, Carancahua

Occupation: Rancher

Political party: GOP

Office Seeking: County commissioner, Precinct 4

Why do you want to serve in this position?

It is a new challenge for me. I've got life experiences that will help me serve the precinct. I want to strive to keep the taxes at the current level and maintain the budget in order to do so. I also want to maintain the roads so they are safe for school buses and everyday traffic.

What qualifies you to serve in this office?

I have lived in the county my entire life. I'm a fourth-generation Jackson County resident dating back to my great-grandfather, who settled in 1907, so I'm familiar with the needs of the county. I've served on the Jackson County drainage district for 18 years and the local bank board for six years.

If elected, how will you go about effectively serving your constituents?

I will always be available and make time for anyone who wants to talk with me. I am willing to listen to anyone's concerns and take them into consideration. My door will always be open.

Name: Dennis Karl

Age: 64

City/county of residence: La Ward/Jackson

Occupation: La Ward Telephone Exchange

Political party: GOP

Office Seeking: County commissioner, Precinct 4

Why do you want to serve in this position?

I want to continue what incumbent Larry Deyton has been doing for the past few years. I want to keep improving roads, bridges and whatever else needs to be done in the county. I also want to assist with the county government, budgeting, etc.

What qualifies you to serve in this office?

I served as constable in the precinct for 12 years. I know the residents and precinct well. I've traveled the county roads for 45 years. I've traveled all over the county and have known it my whole life. I've been involved in 4-H, Little League and continue to be involved with the children.

If elected, how will you go about effectively serving your constituents?

I will be available for any of the constituents to get ahold of me for any problems or complaints they may have. This is a full-time job, and I know that, and I want to be here for Precinct 4 and tend to the needs of the residents.
