The proposed injection well discussed in a story on Page A1 on Sunday will use produced water from a well drilled in the 1940s and is not connected to the Eagle Ford Shale drilling activity.
Petrodome officials have said the produced water they plan to inject near the 1940s well will contain salt water and drilling mud. It is not considered as dangerous as produced water from fracking, a drilling process commonly used in the Eagle Ford. The story did not clearly make this distinction.
