"And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now, they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes." - John 21:6
As soon as some of this cold weather is past, I am planning a fishing trip. A lot of my fishing friends have been telling me that they are catching a lot of fish. So this gets me even more excited.
I want to fish on a shell reef next to mud. I know the perfect spot.
I'm going out to buy the perfect bait. I usually use shrimp, but this time, I am going to try artificial bait and maybe some live mullet.
I am so excited just preparing for this fishing trip. It reminds me of the disciples when Jesus told them to cast their nets on the right side of the ship.
I am getting a little too old to go out on a boat, especially since my neck has just healed from being fractured. So I am going to be content sitting in my lawn chair on our favorite beach, listening to the waves lap against the shore.
I will thank God for the ocean spray and for the sunshine on my back. Even if I don't catch a multitude of fishes, I will thank our Lord for the chance to fish another time and for creating another "Oceans for Emotions."
Dear Lord, we are so blessed to have You watching over us each day of our lives. Today, let us pull up a lawn chair at our favorite beach and give thanks to You for all the blessings You have given us. And, Lord, one keeper fish would just make my day.
