Crossroads could see snow Tuesday night

Get ready, Crossroads, a glimpse of snow is possible.

A cold front coming Monday night could bring a dusting of snow Tuesday, said Doug Vogelsang, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.

A mild Monday with highs in the 60s is expected, the forecaster said, but a 20 percent chance of rain and sleet starts after midnight with possible wind chills in the mid-20s. Tuesday's high will be in the upper 30s, and the low will be in the upper 20s Tuesday night with winds dropping off to 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.

A 50 percent chance of rain or sleet is forecasted for Tuesday, he said.

There is a 30 percent change of light snow or sleet falling Tuesday night.

The chance of precipitation stops Wednesday, he said. Residents can expect a high in the mid-40s for Wednesday. The temperature will warm up significantly Thursday, he said, with a high in the lower 60s.
