Slight chance of light snow in Crossroads forecast

Wednesday is expected to bring freezing temperatures to the Crossroads, a National Weather Service spokesman said. But beyond that, temperatures are expected to warm up Friday and Saturday.

A freeze warning is in effect from 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

"The low is expected to be 25 degrees with a 20 percent chance of light snow and sleet with no accumulation," said Douglas Vogelfang, the weather service spokesman.

The wind chill is expected to be 17 degrees to 22 degrees, with an advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Precipitation is expected to clear after sunrise. Forecasters expect skies to remain partly cloudy with a high of 48 degrees. The forecasted low for Wednesday night is 32 degrees.

Thursday is expected to warm up to the mid-60s with lows in the mid- to upper-50s.

The lows should remain in the 50s Friday with highs in the mid-70s. The warming pattern continues Saturday.
