ESL, GED classes offered to F.W. Gross Elementary parents, neighbors

Parents and neighbors part of the F.W. Gross Elementary School community are now welcome to improve their reading and English skills each Tuesday and Thursday night.

The new program was started by Michelle Yates, Victoria school district Pre-K coordinator.

"F.W. Gross and the Victoria Adult Literacy Council have partnered to offer GED and ESL classes," Yates said.

GED classes are Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the F.W. Gross Parent Center, and ESL classes are Thursdays at the same location and time unless the class falls on a holiday.

Last week, the campus kicked off the program with nine participants.
