First English Lutheran Church NALC/LCMC is having its annual inspirational July 4th service, Thanking God for Our Country at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The service will emphasize the blessing that God has granted in allowing Christians to worship in freedom and safety. Worshippers are encouraged to wear red, white and blue clothing. The public is invited.

Sista Sat-day Mornin' Sistas in Action will have its fourth annual Women's Conference beginning at 10 a.m. at New Revelation Ministries (at the Victoria Regional Airport). The theme is Worshipping And Praising God for His Goodness. The program includes praise dancers, speakers and soloists from House of Bread Church, St. Peter Baptist Church and Zion Tabernacle Christian Center. The keynote speaker is the Rev. Willie Mae Ford, assistant pastor of Salter Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Registration is $10 and goes to benefit the senior citizen fan drive and Sistas Thanksgiving meal giveaway for needy families. Sistas is composed of members from 14 churches. The founder and director is Pastor Ingrid Williams.

An educational workshop titled "Identity Theft: What you need to know" will be presented at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander.
