Weather recap: A look at June weather

The Crossroads had a wet spring to summer transition.
Days of anything from light rain to strong thunderstorms provided the area with some drought relief.
Lawns greened and overgrew after more than 4 inches of rain fell over Victoria. Throughout the Crossroads, however, people found their rain gauges filling higher than the 4-inch mark.
But summer has just begun, and the Crossroads has to brace for the hotter months to come.
So what will July bring? Hurricane season typically picks up in July and August, so it's definitely time to keep an eye on the tropics.
