Catholic Daughters host meeting
Regent JoAnn Bleier recently called the regular meeting of the Court Daughters of the Holy Family No. 2665 to order.
Paige Steinkuehler and Jaden Lewis, the court's college scholarship winners, and their guests were welcomed by Bleier. Carolina Lara, scholarship chairwoman, presented the awards. A reception followed.
Guests Denise Byer and Darlene Stewart were introduced.
Membership drives will be Sept. 13, 14, 20 and 21.
Darlah Sims, Habitat for Humanity volunteer chairwoman, reported there will be two builds this fall, and volunteer workers have been requested for Oct. 11. Volunteers will also furnish lunch.
Marcia Neeley, social committee, thanked hostesses for the refreshments.
Reports were given by Claudia Sheblak, prayer blankets; Georgie Lee Friede, memorial cards; Brigid Sonntag, scrapbook; Cheryl Olsovsky, officer training workshop; and Barbara Respondek, vice regent.
Olsovsky reminded members to begin making their items for the court's craft and bake sale in November.
Bleier thanked officers, committee structure ladies and members for their work this year.
The Rev. Dan Morales spoke for the good of the order, and the meeting was adjourned until Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
