Woman celebrates 100th birthday with party

Anita Mikeska Guettner turned 100 April 4. She was honored with a party of family and friends April 5. Five generations were in attendance. Anita married Edwin Guettner in 1936. She has three daughters: Carol Anderson, of Victoria; Sandra Griffin, of Sugar Land; and the late Ruby Schoener. Anita has four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two step great-grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren. She is a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and quilted for many years with the church group. Guettner worked for 18 years as a lunchroom manager at Guadalupe Elementary School.
