Torivio "Toby" Gutierrez Jr.

Three men in Goliad County Jail have been charged with the murder of a man in a residential area on Warrick Road two weeks ago.

Endalesio R. Pompa IV, 29, of Goliad; Louis Michael Flores, 49; and Torivio Gutierrez, 41, have been charged with murder in connection with the July 4 death of Christoval Lee Garza, 38, of Goliad, said Sgt. John Pape with the Goliad County Sheriff's Office.

The three suspects were acquainted with Garza, Pape said, but he did not elaborate upon their relationship.

An autopsy showed Garza was fatally injured from multiple blows to the torso.

The suspected motive in the death investigation will not be released pending the grand jury investigation, Pape said.
