A few months after helping lead Victoria East to a spot in the Class 4A playoffs, Alyssa Dial has signed to play softball for UHV.

Dial, who also graduated from East in May, was selected to the All-District 30-4A team as outfielder and earned the East Golf Glove award. She also hit for a .314 batting average with four doubles and eight RBI.

"It's exciting to see the success the program has had, and I hope to be able to help continue that tradition," Dial said in a press release. "I'm looking forward to the next four years and the opportunity to stay close to home."
