Had 102 cows and 27 bulls. The packer market was steady with last week's higher market. Receipts are low and demand good, so prices are up.

The calf market was steady with last week's gains with some increased demand and higher prices for replacement heifers. Some lighter calves were $2 to $4 higher in spots.

Packer bulls: Heavyweights, $100-$127; lower grades, $80-$100.

Packer cows: breakers, $68-$80; boning cows, $67-$87; canners and cutters, $82-$108; light and weak, $38-$45.

Palpated dry cows (12 head bred): $111-$127; pairs (two): $1,600 and $1,675.

Compared to last week: The market was stronger again this week. Better quality classes of calves and yearlings sold mostly $2 to $4 higher. Lightweights sold $5 to $8 higher. Demand continues very strong in all areas.

Packer cows and bulls sold $2 to $3 higher on about 150 head total.

Packer cows: Higher dressing utility and cutter cows, $92-$113; lower dressing utility and cutter cows, $76-$92; lightweight canner cows, $63-$76.

Packer bulls: Heavyweight bulls, $120-$126; utility and cutter bulls, $112-$120; lightweight canner bulls, $98-$112.
