Monument group to host fun day at Riverside Park

The South Texas Iraq-Afghanistan War Monument organization is hosting its first Mandatory Fun Day from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Park.
The organization, which is also known as Honor361, has a mission to build a monument honoring those who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and other operations in the global war against terror.
Saturday's event will feature kickball and a barbecue, according to a news release.
The event is open to all veterans and families.
