Receipts: 782

Had 106 cows and 17 bulls. The packer market was stronger than last week as receipts are low and demand good, so prices are up $2 to $5. Time to sell if any cull cows need to go.

The calf market was much higher across the board. Favorable corn growing weather as well as improving grass conditions and a strong demand for limited numbers has pushed the calf market to another week of record all-time highs. Calves were 4 to 8 cents a pound higher in many classes.

Packer bulls: heavyweights, $100-$134; lower grades, $80-$110.

Packer cows: breakers, $68-$80; boning cows, $67-$87; canners and cutters, $82-$112; light and weak, $40-$65.

Palpated dry cows (21 head bred): $120-$138; pairs (1): $2,000.

Compared to last week: The market was much stronger again this week. Better quality classes of calves and yearlings sold $4 to $10 higher. Lightweights were $10 to $15 higher. Demand was extremely good and at all-time highs in all areas.

Packer cows and bulls sold $2 higher on about 200 head total.

Packer cows: Higher dressing utility and cutter cows, $93-$115; lower dressing utility and cutter cows, $78-$93; lightweight canner cows, $64-$78.

Packer bulls: Heavyweight bulls, $121-$129; utility and cutter bulls, $113-$121; lightweight canner bulls, $100-$113.
