Two people were taken to Victoria hospitals Wednesday night after a driver ran a red light at the Crestwood Drive and North Navarro Street intersection.

Monica Trevino, 22, of Victoria, was southbound in the 3600 block of North Navarro Street when she ran a red light and struck a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. The Impala was northbound on Navarro Street, turning left onto Crestwood Drive, officials with the Victoria Police Department said.

Trevino and a 13-year-old child passenger in the Impala were both injured. Trevino was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro, and the child was taken to Citizens Medical Center.

A third vehicle, a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, was also struck in the accident. No other injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
