Students participate in UHV robotics camp
Thirteen high school students are spending the week assembling and programming robots during the University of Houston-Victoria's Digital Simulation and Robotics Summer Camp. The students program the robots with artificial intelligence to control movement through a maze. Funding for the camp, the UHV/Victoria College Math and Computer Science Awareness Day and a semester-long robotics course is provided by a $20,000 grant from Alcoa Foundation. The camp included a trip to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
