5 new Victoria police officers sworn in

Victoria Police Department swore in five new officers, bringing  vacancies down to four officer positions and one assistant chief position. The department has  combated its three-year shortage high by hiring a total of 21 officers within the past three months, Det. Tanya Brown wrote in an email.
