Ombudsman program volunteers needed

Ombudsman program volunteers are needed to serve as advocates for nursing home residents in Yoakum as well as in other communities in the Crossroads.
Ombudsmen visit nursing homes to promote quality care and to protect residents' rights. Free initial and ongoing training is provided, and no previous experience is needed.
Volunteers are needed in Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca and Victoria counties.
