No one was injured in a fire that damaged a vacant mobile home in the 600 block of North Brownson Street on Saturday.

The Victoria Fire Department received the emergency call at 4:40 p.m., said Battalion Chief Clifton Bayer.

The owner said the mobile home at the corner of North and Brownson streets had been vacant for about 12 years.

"I don't care about the home or anything in it," said Olivia Aguirre, the owner. "I was worried about the homeless people who slept there."

Aguirre's son allowed a couple to sleep in the home to stay warm. Neither was there when it caught fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, said Anthony Pryor of the Victoria Fire Department.
