Editor, the Advocate:

This is in response to the letter written by Lori Hammer that ran in the Advocate on Feb. 23 regarding Pastor Fisher's Saturday Sermon, "The Conscience of a Nation."

Bravo and hooray to you, Mrs. Hammer.

To Pastor John Fisher, saying we need to take our country back - ha! That's a laugh. Take it back from whom?

The only ones who should say that are all the Native American people who were lied to and then killed (thou shalt not kill) and had their land stolen (thou shalt not steal).

Mr. Fisher, I cannot believe how you use the pulpit to spread such hate and division.

You should be pointing people to God and Jesus and heavenly things, not earthly. You should not use your pulpit to preach politics. You're supposed to be a preacher, not a politician.
