The Shiner Future Farmers of America Livestock Show celebrates 34 years of exhibition Friday.
Bruce Pohler, ag science teacher at Shiner High School and FFA faculty sponsor, started the show and has watched it become what it is today.
This year, the show will include 64 entries ranging from steers to hogs, broilers and lambs.
Gates open at 7 a.m. beginning with weigh-ins, and judging starts at 9 a.m.
Before the 7:30 p.m. sale, there will be a pre-sale social for buyers at 5:30 p.m. across from the show barn, and everyone is welcome to come, Pohler said.
"The last two years, we've gone over $200,000 in our sale," he said. "We're hoping to have another good sale this year."
